TM STUDIOS FILM SAFE POLICY

Adapted from the framework created by leading broadcasters, TM Studios adheres to the following film safe procedures

Pre-Production

·      Creative planning to prioritise as safe a workspace as possible in order to tell innovative stories

·      To specifically consider people at higher risk of harm

·      Take into consideration how certain measures and restrictions will impact both the cost of production and the content itself

·      TM Studios will aim to reduce the number of people involved. As a production company who pride ourselves on efficiency we will always only employ the slimest crew possible.

·      Attempt to use local crew where feasible

·      Location considerations - Outdoor filming is preferable; 2m spacing using floor markings if appropriate; if households are being used as filming locations consideration will be given to the risks being introduced to these environments; preparation and use of appropriate signs and messaging for key hygiene and distancing messages;

·      Adhere to up-to-date UK advice on the wearing of PPE.

Production

·      Complete suitable and sufficient risk assessment about Coronavirus (COVID-19) risks for their activities

·      Heighten precautions for everyone at work – it is essential that everyone involved with the production applies good practice in terms of social distancing and hand hygiene.

·      Anyone with symptoms, or who is living with someone who has developed symptoms, must remain at home in accordance with current Government instructions. All crew will be obliged to check their own temperature before setting out to work. Back up crew members will be placed on alert in case someone develops symptoms and can’t attend the shoot.

·      All crew to try and avoid public transport where possible

·      Frequently clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are touched regularly – production to provide sanitiser gel

·      Use of boom or fixed microphones to avoid contact and maintain 2m distance.

·      Where radio mics are required establish a protocol for cleaning prior to issue and on return along with instructions on how the presenter/contributor can fit the mic themselves.

Post-Production

·      Record how we have managed the risk to assure others that appropriate assessments have been completed. This feedback loop is vital.
